Computational Studies of Nano-Photonic Devices
Prof. Shanhui Fan
Ginzton Lab, Stanford University
Abstract
Nano-photonic devices represent a new frontier in the optical sciences.
With the device and structural dimensions scaled down to a single
wavelength scale, these devices exhibit fascinating properties that can
be exploited for potential device applications. Also, the scale of these
devices provide important opportunities for first-principles computation
studies. In this talk, I will present examples where computational
studies are leading us to new device concepts in the optical
technologies.
