Croatia, Aug-Sept 1998

Here are a few pictures from my trip to Croatia, where I stayed with fellow-ULP researcher Vjeko and his family. Vjeko lives near Opatija on the Adriatic Sea -- here we are sailing on it! A really neat town nearby on the Istria peninsula is Rovinj. We also visited some of Vjeko's friends including Tjasa and Sonja. One of the neatest places we saw was Plitvice. It's a beautiful park with several lakes, dozens of waterfalls, and cool walkways. Here is a nice picture of Vjeko and his family.
